About Edge of the Wolds
Where it began
Edge of the Wolds was born in 2020 out of a love for home scent and inspired by the beautiful back drop of the Yorkshire countryside. It all started with reed diffusers and extended to candles the following year.

Hi, I'm Charlotte and I love spending time in my workshop testing new ideas out. Before setting up Edge of the Wolds I worked in retail buying. I now love making my own products and hope you do to.

What started off as a passion and selling locally has now bloomed and I'm dedicated in bringing a little piece of Yorkshire to homes further afield.
Life outside the workshop
We moved to Yorkshire in 2013 with our three children. Realising we were surrounded by beautiful countryside and the coast Coco our springer spaniel joined the family.
Our idea of a happy life involves simple things like a walk in a bluebell wood, blowing the cobwebs away with a blast of north sea air on the Yorkshire coast and getting cosy in front of a warm fire on a winters day.

These little things have helped us to make memories and we hope to capture these within our candles and diffuser scents and share them with you.
Why Edge of the Wolds?
There were a number of names until we settled on Edge of the Wolds. It seems right considering we live right the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds and it inspired the product ranges. It's an area of Yorkshire with low rolling hills, chalk cliffs and scenic trails and is waiting for acknowledgement as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Our Aim
Hand Poured
Every candle and diffuser is hand poured in small batches in my workshop in East Yorkshire. Its all in the detail, using the highest quality ingredients, through the whole process of wicking, blending, pouring and packaging. Every step is carefully curated to ensure the best possible products for you.
Sustainable
Our candles are made using the highest quality plant wax, using only coconut and rapeseed oils, free from paraffin, palm, beeswax or synthetic additives to give you an even, clean burn and incredible scent throw.
Our diffusers are made with an eco friendly base solvent from a renewable source. It is fragrance enhancing, low odour and optimal evaporation to give off scent for longer.
Reusable
We are mindful when selecting materials we take extra care to ensure they can fit within the framework of either, reuse, reduce or recycle. Where possible our labels are made from recycled paper. The cardboard packaging can be recycled and candle jars upcycled once you have finish burning. Refills for our diffusers are available just contact us for more information.
